I have Virginia Creeper here. It's growing up my white ash trees and on
my porch. It clings by little feelers, so it doesn't strangle to my
knowledge like some vines can. It's beautifully green with five lobes
in summer and in fall it turns bright reddish orange. Another good
thing about it is that it will grow in sun, shade, and any kind of
soil. Here it grows in red Virginia soil....I mean the really red, red
soil.
I would like to have a climbing hydrandgea though if I could just find
the right place to put it. What is it's method of clinging to what it
grows on?
