This thread probably is a good example of the need for using scientific
nomenclature if we want to avoid confusion about plant identification. There
are 2 varieties of Lamiastrum galeobdolon, both called Yellow Archangel.
The aggressively growing, easily propagated variety I was referring to in my
earlier posting is 'Variegatum'. The other variety, which I also have and
can recommend for shade ground cover is 'Herman's Pride' . It is less
aggressive than 'Variegatum' but does spread around some itself.
