Speaking of, my favorite azaleas seem to be the evergreens, which are at
best marginally hardy up here. Each year, the most rugged get smaller and
smaller until they die out (about the 5th winter). If anybody is growing
these in a really-cold-winter/hot summer climate, how do you keep them
healthy? I have used anti-transpirants, which help tremendously, but can't
use a 'zone' blanket (lack of sunlight kills the plant).
