Re: clematis
Hello Bobbi,
Since I own a nursery I should be able to keep the cut-back times in mind for
Clematis, but I never can seem to get a handle on it all. so... I simply don't.
Old Nellie has been out there for some years now going right along blooming her
little heart out every year. Same with all the other Clematis I have. Both the
species and the large flowering hybrids. I figure no one comes around and trims
them in the wild.
Incidentally, my Nellie is laying down on rocks lining a curve in a path.
Looks great defining the curve and being right down at close-up level. Behind
Nellie are Iris palladia, Peonies.
