Hi Brian,

Joshua Tree National Monument is one of the few (maybe 2?) parks I've had the pleasure of seeing out west.  What a beautiful and different place it is....nothing like what we see around here.  Did your passion for hostas and shade gardening start after you were there?  If not, how did you cope without being able to shade garden?
