Calla lilies - sun or shade?

I have tried Calla Lilies in the sun and they roasted, toasted, and
died. I tried again in shade, the east side of my house, a bit of
filtered morning sun only. My Calla's look fantastic, thick and lush,
bloomed in February, and made it through last summer with no problems.

I think it all depends on your climate, temperatures, soil, etc. The
only thing one can do is try something in several locations and see
where it does best. For me, nearly everything I plant requires at least
afternoon shade.
