Where I saw Zantedeschia aethiopica growing wild in South Africa, it was in
open sun along creeks or under very light shade from low trees, again along
streams and in wet places. Of course, you don't want them growing 7 feet
tall probably.
One reference I looked at here stated that Z. albomaculata needs "light
shade."
