Patsy, I am never one to try to discourage the enthusiasm of a fellow
gardener but we have not been able to find an Agapanthus that will make it
through the winter. Several of my sisters and I have tried and they live a
little further south of here in Paris and Versailles, KY. We all have our
Agapanthus in pots and are overwintering them inside. I have blooms on two
of mine, one at school under twenty-four hr fluorescence and one here at home
in a west window. That could not be good and I am thinking that I will chop
off the blooms to encourage reblooming at the more appropriate time.

Overwintering in pots as houseplants is probably not the best solution but as
long as they will survive we will wait for another winter to try something
different.
