It's worth a visit, Narda. A generalist nursery that takes good care of its
plants. I always find something I can't live without. Last fall I was
there and they had the reddest coleus I have ever seen growing in a planter
in full sun out front. Alas, they didn't have any potted versions, and it
was too late in the year anyway. This year I looked all through their
coleus collection and though they had some neat ones, my red one wasn't
there. Ah, well, I thought. But then poking around in the back of the
greenhouse I found it! Still growing in the same planter as last year! They
graciously gave me some cuttings and I'm starting them now in my greenhouse..
I go up to Lex a couple of times a year to meet my sister, who drives down
from Columbus. We have a girl's weekend out, visit nurseries and quilt
stores and bookstores and stay up way too late.
Your sister's job at the horse farm sounds like Heaven!
