Hello Narda,
You must be looking at those Japanese hepatica... there are more
hepaticas out there than the Japanese market and breeding lines. There are
fully double, semi double, contrasting color of stamens, and nice foliage on
European species of Hepatica. Do some shopping around and keep your eyes
open for a while. While I am only aware of one fully double form of the
American hepaticas, there are some nice selections out there. Great foliage,
various bloom colors. They are very slow to build up so not many nurseries
will fool with them. But... they are out there.
