Diana, here in the south, 7a, the foliage acts as somewhat of a barometer for
changing weather.

During the occasional cold spells, the silvry foliage looks dried and
lifeless, but following a short warm up, it refoiliates and brightens op the
plantings.

Hre, if left unpruned, they get to 8' or so, except for the dwarf varieties.
