I leave my Buddleia bushes as is for the winter because I've found that they
die if I prune in the fall. The plant seems to grow some short, very gray,
furry feeling "winter leaves"--much different than the "summer leaves". My
friends and I joke that this is the plant's winter clothes.
This year, I enjoyed looking at the dried flower remains. In fact, I think
they might be good dried materials for flower arranging! My flower
arranging class has definitely given me a new perspective on things.
