Gee, folks -
whodda thot we'd be useing our aspirin for our plants rather than saving
it for Thursday morning!

I'll try to give a general reply to the questions I've gotten: GLEN, in
reference to colors, I'll answer in laymans' terms, purity, depth and
sunfastness also more substance to petals, I notice this most in roses
and azalea; CLAIRE, what you're calling willow soup is what we call
willow tea, I make it like an ongoing 'sun tea' - the shoots root and as
long as the water retains its amber color I use it...can also be used as
a foliar spray better than miracid on azalea and rhoties for me; TOM,
the willow tea seems to be faster acting than the aspirin water if that
means anything; RICK, I don't necessairly use new shoots, anything less
than quarter inch goes into the brew buckets...I have 3 to 5 buckets of
it going all season and as I have an endless supply of what the locals
call "thet durned ole brainche willer" I use it a lot,,,on rooting, yes
I note better, quicker root formation and "take" even better with the
addiltion of one B1 tab per gallon - I use it on all bare root stuff and
to combat shipping shock on anything that gives the impression that
being left to little brown truck people wasn't in the least bit
amuseing; BOBBI, aspirin in the vase, along with a bit of 7URP, does a
good job.

Jane says to remember to mention that I use willow tea, a spritz every
two weeks or so, as a tonic for hosta and dl seedlings in the greenhouse
it seems to perk them up, color and leaf substance.
