I'm trying to find some plants that will do well in a basically shady
area which has about an hour of intense hot sun during the day, the time
changes through the summer. My hostas and impatiens are doing ok there
but I can tell they're not as happy there are they are in shady spots
that don't get this direct sun. Plants that need sun don't seem to get
enough of it there. I don't know the zone, it's south/central Alberta
(Canada). It won't be spring here until May, but now's the time to
plan! Also, I prefer plants that don't need to be babied too much. Any
help would be much appreciated.
Esther.
