Hi Clyde, there is one called v. sororia Freckles, perhaps that is the one

Hi Mary and All!

Thanks! I just posted the group that I found the tag that came with the plant
and it read "Viola 'Rodney Davey'". I would like to buy the one you and others
have mentioned. Is it available in U.S.?
Mary are you a member of the BHHS? I re-joined last year thanks to Glen
Pether. I spent my sabbatical in London and became friends with a great number
of the Anglohostaphiles.
If anyone here is interested in joining, let me know and I will dig out the
address. It is the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society, a great
organization.

Mary, when can I see your English garden? I might be coming over the pond this
summer, in mid-July. Which do you prefer--gardening in England or in France?
Are hostas available from French nurseries?
Whilst I was Editor of the HOSTA JOURNAL I solicited a piece from a Frenchman
on Hostas in France. He sent me beautiful pix of the garden of a Princess
_V______(?)[Might have been a Countess V______.]
I lent the issue where the article and pix appeared(a real NO_NO!) so I have
forgotten her name.
