Gotta larn those kids when they are about 9 mo. old - and never stop.
Of course, once you larn them to pick with long stems (if they have to
pick them) suddenly you have No tiny iris left in the ground, all bloom
is brought proudly to you. Am talking about 2.7 yearold grandson here.
With my own kiddos, had a garden for them where they could pick at will,
with the understanding that picked flowers came into the house to a
vase/glass and all veggies & fruit were for eating. Even main patch of
strawberries was protected by planting large patch of alpine
strawberries for the kids.
Cheers Ginny who wonders if any lily bloom will survive a 3 year old.
