Ms P, et al- We dont reccomend acers indoors, although we undersatnd your
plight. Look for a new cultivar called "Red Empweror" to re[palce Bloodgood.
Similar all around it leafs, however, two weeks later, and two weeks safer for
most.
Also consider the species maples, such as a. seiboldianum and psuedo-
seiboldianum, and the Shantung of China, (a. truncatum), as they are super
hardy.
yFor your consideration, A. griseum is wonderful, with fully exfoliating bark,
and of course the a. ginnala, from the Amur River areaof China.
Also a. circinatum and it's few varieties may prove hardy for you.
