Do you have experience with J. acers in containers? Indoors? Recommended
cv's? This question for zone 4 gardeners who have only one or two choices.
(Is Bloodgood the hardy one?)
At the Boston flower show, this week, there were acers in containers looking
very elegant.
The also was a substitute plant which looked good in the Bayside Expo setting.
It was a rhamnus frangula 'Asplenifolia'. This shrub or small tree is zone 4
hardy and provides the lacy look of a J. acer. It was entirely new to me and
I am ordering one.
It is recommended to provide the "dappled shade" so wanted.
