Ester, do you grow helleborus?  They are evergreen, bloom Christmas or
after, don't require ANY care, and increase nicely.  They are nice to
interplant with hosta, which disappear in winter.  Also ajuga, phlox
divaricata, etc. give some variety in texture and color...  Joann>
