When you prepay your garden book club fees, watch that
they don't charge you shipping.  That is the main
advantage of paying upfront.

Also, once you have fulfilled your membership
obligation, you can call and ask them to switch your
account so that you only have to notify them when you
WANT a book, instead of remembering to send the card
back each month.
