Shiela,
My sources are mixed concerning Bletilla hyacinthina. One says that
it is a valid species, one says that it is Bletilla striata ssp.
hyacinthina and on says that it is Bletilla striata var. hyacinthina.
I'd grow it but I'm don't know whether it would be hardy in my USDA
6B garden. The reference that says it is a valid species says zone
7, prferably better; B. striata is rated in some places as zone 6
with protection. I think I'd label it B. hyacinthina so I could more
easily find and relabel it once the taxonomists finish with it.
