I realize this is off-topic, so I'll keep it short. "mailto:" is an HTML
command, which in English means it is something you'd use on a web page to
create a hyperlink. Some email programs interpret it as an HTML command
and create the hyperlink. Others (like Eudora) just automatically spot
email addresses and web pages and makes them hyperlinks -- in Eudora,
Sherryl's signature shows up as "s*@ionet.net"
As for which is "correct", I don't know what the standard is. Just be
aware that what your mail program does isn't exactly what other people's
mail programs do.
Oh, to keep this closer to topic, I've been seeing lots of Hosta's and
other plants in the peat-moss-in-bag displays at all the stores around
here. Most of these are sprouting; you can see lots of roots in the bags
and shoots searching for light. It strikes my that these poor things are
really not happy -- or would they be fine if carefully untangled and put in
the ground? I'm sure they will be going on sale soon (or you could chat
with the manager and offer to take these substandard plants off his/her
hands).
(sorry, one more silly question -- is Hosta pronounced like Hah-stah or
Hoe-stah)
