You are right about Michigan Bulb Co., if they were any good they
wouldn't need the gimicks.
As far as dividing Hostas it is very easy. The best time is when they
are just coming out of the ground. Dig them up, wash off all the dirt
and cut them into small clumps making sure you have some top and some
root on each clump. Then plant and water and they should do fine.
