Thalictrums: I realize this is almost impoosibe to answer, but you might be
able to put me on the right path: I grow only two varieties of Thalictrum.
Lost labels.
They ar now emerging. The foliage and petioles of one is a bright green. The
other has leaves of a greenish, brownish, maroonish tone and red petioles.
Any
ideas as to what these are. I think they are quite common.

Clyde and all ,
I too grow Thalictrum in my garden. The two varities that I grow are
T.rochebrunianum lavender flowers, grows about 5-6ft in my garden with about
3-4 hours of direct sun. The other T.I grow is T. aquilegifolium. This T. also
has lilac flowers and is called meadow rue. This seeds itsself all over but I
just pull it out where I don't want it.The foilage of this variety is blue
rewwn and looks exactly like aquilegia as it emerges so I guess that is where
the name comes from.
