Bill Shear's description of voles and moles should remind gardeners to check their soil for grubs. During the process of searching for grubs, moles will find other items to eat.....such as the Oriental lilies I have mixed in the garden borders under the trees or even roots of the William Baffin rose.....a rose that I have told everyone will last forever.......but not without roots!
Many good organic controls on the market which do take care of the grubs over time and consequently encourage the moles to move on.
