In the thicket between our neighbors' house and ours, I've discovered a
beautiful peony tree, about five feet high -- it's in the deepest darkest
shade, hidden by evergreens, dogwood, lilac, and assorted other stuff. Not
surprisingly, it doesn't have a single bud/bloom, and its branches are
fairly contorted by what appears to be desperate attempts to find some
light somewhere...
Now I've heard that peony bushed like sun, peony trees shade -- is that
true? I have permission to move it in fall (would that be the right time?),
but where to? I very much want it to survive. Any hints?
Thanks!
