I had no idea holly could do this. You mean you cut it clear back to the
ground and it sprouts leaves from that point? I'm picturing what people do
to old yews in our area, and then the yews are all branches, no greenery.And
then they need to be yanked out. Or is it like we do to lilacs, and then
they send up new shoots? I don't suppose holly does this around here in zone
5, although I've never seen a holly more than 5 ft here. Guess I'll have to
start travelling more :+) Lynn
