Hi
Sounds like slugs to me. I can tell you
what my mother always does to get the slug population down, and it works great.
She puts small containers in the ground and buries them up to the rim so
they can't be tipped. Then she fills them about 3/4 of the way with cheap beer.
The slugs are reallty attracted to it, and they drown in there. All you do is
toss the slugs and beer, then start again. You'll be almost slug free in no
time. Hope this helps.
