[SG] Paulownia

To all -sent the following message that was returned because I had the wrong
address. Hope this one gets through. Sorry that it is a little outdated

<<
 Hi Everyone,
The empress tree otherwise known as Paulownia tomentosa is indeed an escapee
of China. The seeds of this tree are rather large and silky and were used as
packing material years ago. When things were shipped from China and arrived
by
ship these crates were then sent by rail to various parts of the country.
When the boxes were unpacked (usually near a rail line) the seeds were
dispursed so we now have the Paulownias growing from NJ south and west.
Probably arriving from Port Newark or New York. Following the rail lines or
so
 it seems.
