Hi Kathy!
All of you on this list are welcome to come here anytime. Just give me a day
or two notice.

If you come, I can show you the best shade garden in the Occident---the garden
of Patsy Stygall, Crows Landing. It is just a stone's throw from mine. (Darn!
I just got hit by a rock!!)

Unfortunately, Patsy's garden was not on tour at the '97 AHS Convention---she
and her entourage were in Monaco. I did take some of her friends over and they
were---how should I put this--some are still in hosta shock.
Patsy is a great hostess and does all her gardening "hands-on." I like to kid
her with the following:
" Patsy speaks only to Tony Avent, who speaks only to God." (As you know, I am
kidding--- Tony is a friend of all and will talk with anyone, except my dog ,
Ziggy.)

" When you go to Patsy's garden, do not ask, "Have you got [insert here a name
of a plant, any plant]?" Rather, ask, "Where is your[insert here the name of
any plant]?"

Ciao,
