Hi; I'd wait for the time being and see what comes up on its own at
different times of the season.  You may find some real treasures, such as
orchids (many of them look plain and even ugly when all you see is the
foliage, but wait till they bloom!), that might otherwise be lost if other,
more vigorous species were introduced.
