Re: [SG] Plant Identification


Hi Time,
        Got out my copy of Natural shade Gardening and checked out page 233. Sure
looks like one of the Ligularia to me. Could not tell you exactly which
hybrid or selection. There are quite a few on the market. The whole family
is characterized by large bold leaves, tall stalk and them masses of
flowers at the top. Yellow and orange dominate. They like moist places and
are heavy feeders. Lots and lots of compost when you plant as they are
quite large in size when mature.
        Think I enjoyed Ken's The Collector's Garden best, but then I am a bit of
a collector myself. You know, planting in drifts of one.
