gottenan answer but in case you didnd't the plant with the yellow flowers on
page 233 is Ligularia dentata. It is modre orange than yellow when viewed in
the garden. Also be aware that Ligularia is on of the favorite food for slugs
and requires the correct soil conditions or it will wilt as soon as the sun
hits it. Without some sun it will not bloom .Best fo luck,

Hi all and Janet!
Janet is right---to a point. To establish the ligularias, one must be sure to
water newly planted ones daily as, as Janet points out, they do need SOME sun.
But once established, they do not wilt, if given the same amount of water that
you give other plants.
Try the commom ones if you must. I find the L. dentata and its varieties,
'Desdemona' and 'Othello' somewhat pedestrian. Hard to believe no
one(including me<BG>) recommended L. stenocephala 'The Rocket'. I guess it
depends if you want daisy-like flowers or spires.
All the ligularias, as Kay Dye points out, are worthy additions to the shade
garden. But if you want to make a statement, use L. przewalskii.
