Re: [SG] Gas Plant

Cindy, don't blame yourself for that dead gas plant. I have not had much
luck with Milaeger plants. They ship them dormant, they are very small,
and upon arrival they do look very sad. They appear to be plants that have
been dug the year before and then placed in cold storage for the winter
and shipped out in the spring. I am not good at planting dormant plants
(does anyone know any tricks?). The failure rate is huge. Rather than keep
asking for replacements, it seemed easiest to stop ordering from
Milaeger's!

If you know any good local gardeners who can GIVE you a seedling from one
of their established plants, that's about the safest way, but even then
there are no guarantees.

This list is a good place to ask--has anybody successfully ignited their
plant?
