I use rubberbands to fold over and put in a
"pony tail" so to speak. I save the rubberbands
from anything and everything during the year
for this (especially the little blue ones from
green onion bunches.)

Hi Joan:
I have to treat tulips as annuals here. They
never do well the second year
since I am too lazy to fertilize them plus I dont
like the foliage staying
until June. Daffs are a different matter. I
remove the foliage when it is
still green if it will come off with just a slight
pull. All return---in fact
too many return year after year. Some people I
know tie the foliage to keep
it from flopping.
