I beg your pardon! Daylilies make very nice border plants for the front
drive and walkway! (At least I think so.) :-)
I'd never heard of a "no flowers in front" rule, and sure am glad most
folks haven't....otherwise boring landscapes with nice bedding plants make
my drives around town so much more enjoyable. I once stopped at an elderly
lady's home as she was tending her roses at the front of her yard near the
road and told her how much pleasure her gardening efforts bring to
others....to me, at least, as I pass her home each day.
I guess there will always be gardeners who garden for the love of the
plants and others who make the "rules." <G>
