There is a petunia sold as petunia integrifolia. I have (at last) found it
in a purple form and a white form. The flowers are quite small and very
numerous. No seed snipping is required and the plants last past the first
frosts. We use it as a container plant. It will take cutting back once a
season in zone 4. We all look for long blooming annuals that are "self
cleaning".
