Re: [SG] book, plant sale

Hi Donna:

I didn't max out the cards; in fact, didn't use any, though the urge was
almost too great. Paid by check. This keeps me from buying way too much (I
only bought too much today, not way to much).

I would use credit cards only if I wanted to buy a $500 daylily or hosta; so
far haven't succumbed to that.

My wife did have to pull me out of the nursery, however. I kept hearing
these plants screaming "take me, take me, take me." I wanted to give each of
them a good home but couldn't. Their loss, and mine, too. Good thing I own a
pickup with a topper; it came in handy bringing home two Japanese maples
that were among the good buys.

Good grief; I still hear them calling "take me." I may have to force myself
to visit again, for their sake of course. :-)

John A.
