Buxus 'Graham Blandy'

I would think the boxwood would do just fine for you. I have had it for
several years and love the upright look to get height in the wood land
garden. A friend that has a boxwood nursery(yes, a nursery and a
society just for boxwood) gave me this printout "Has been growing at the
Arboretum of Virginia since 1940's . Its origin is unknown, Unusual
tight columnar form, very narrow, New growth will droop from its own
weight and should be shortened by 1/3 to maintain the close, dense
appearance." I grow mine lean and that may be why I have never had to
trim mine. You will love it in the winter because it is an upright
linear and evergreen form when one needs something of interest in the
woodland garden.
