Well, good that you like hand weeding! But plants like violets and many
other weeds are harder than heck to get rid of (as you know): the slightest
bit of root left behind gives you less stress a short while later. There's
some weed here that's like a sedum: drop the smallest leaf and you have a
new weed to relax with. You must be either a very mellow person from all
that weeding or someone who takes great restful pleasure in vengeful weeding
techniques! :-)

In my experience, Roundup doesn't EVER kill things....
IMHO, there is no substitute for hand weeding, and it's a great stress
reliever too.
