I don't screen it....if it is almost composted down, I use it!
Shoveled into the wheelbarrow, I take out anything too large, and any tags,
plastic etc, that shows up and spread the stuff around....mother nature
takes care of the final stage on location!
If anything has not broken down enough, I through it back into the new
compost pile...
anything to make gardening easy....<BG>

What kind of screen do you use for sifting compost? Half inch
hardware cloth seems too small and one inch chicken wire seems
too big for mine. (Some donated leaves were left in bags and didn't
