New Saxifrage Plants to Watch For

Hi,
Thanks for your Compost sifting input. I usually use it rough also,
but like to mix it into my potting soil for special stuff.
New plants to watch for: I don't know how he does it, but Terra
Nova has come up with some stunning Saxifraga fortunei varieties.
My very favorite is one called "White Splash" because the small
leaves have random white stripes on them. The plant is 6" tall max,
and has been covered with masses of butterfly-like sax. blooms for
more than 2 months. After 3 frosts it's slowing down now, but even
has more buds lower down, in hopes of better weather. Our nursery
bought plugs and had a grower raise them but she lost 50% in the
process. But the ones that made it through are fantastic.
Another one has more the usual size and blossom height (12")
of fortunei but is named 'Velvet' because of the velvety chocolate
leaves with slight silvery veining. At least they used to be until the
angle of the sun went south, and like many dark-leaved plants, they
greened up without it. Have to find a different spot for them.
According to the nurseryman there are at least 3 more different
names on the horizon, but I don't know if they are such special
plants as these.
Just checked the website and the new ones aren't listed, but pix of
these are:

I see he lists Splash as 12"; Maybe next year for me.
