Re: [SG] Welcome/ Susan

Gene:

Thanks for your welcome.

You mention deerfoot. I am not sure what plant you refer to. Is it a
common name for achlys triphylla? I only know one achlys ~ the one we
commonly refer to as vanilla leaf, though I have books that say some know
it as 'sweet-after-death' or 'may-leaf'.

And the trillium is undoubtedly t. ovatum.

Yes, I consider myself blessed.

Hello Susan and welcome
I could not help but notice in your lovely description the native
Achlys
triphyllium. Having Deerfoot grow naturally for you is to be blessed with
one of the most attractive of the three species in existence. Are the
stands very large on your property? What species of Trillium occur there
for you? It all sounds very lovely.
