Dear Group,
Yes, I remember when the idea was first proposed by Paul Aden a few years
back. There is no question that it is an idea who's time has come. Even our
local Hosta society, admittedly never very large, was floundering until we
decided to expand the focus of our group and now call ourselves, the
Northwest Hosta and Shade Gardening Society. The increase in interest has
been dramatic. I think this is happening to many of the Hosta groups around
the country - probably a good place to start promoting the idea.
