Hope this note will be ok, D. Carol Macke is listed for part shade, right?

Anyway, I have a beautiful D. Car. Mac. and it is about 8 years old.  I
noticed last year that is seemed to be loose, you know?  It sort of wobbled
around, like the root system was not holding firmly.  The shrub looks in
perfect health and is top heavy with foilage.  We had really strong winds last
week and now it is listing to one side.  I am going to stake it, but I am
wondering if anyone has information or has grown Daphnes.  Is this a strange
phen. am I going to lose it eventually, or what?  It looks beautiful and would
be devastating to lose.  Any thoughts would be appreciated as to the
prognosis.
