Salutations.
and do you do...
Let me introduce myself:
My experience amounts to about 30 years of the applied arts in
horticulture science, "practice makes perfect, with luck"
My domain has been the temperate climate of San Francisco, California
I live on the side of the first upward slopes, within a mile and viewing
distance of the Pacific Ocean. Besides the wind, the sun, the fog, the
snails and slugs (shade); I continue to nurture my terraced garden of
camellias, bamboos, ornamental grasses, ferns, Rhodos, and what will
take my fancy. I strive to provide for my potted orchids, bromeliads,
succulents, and general but interesting massive house plants.
I have grown, lost, and parted with a many plant types. I believe that
the best source of reference is my library, the local arboretum,
conversation and my intuitive experience.
I am subscribing to this list for two reasons.
The first is simple my passion and art is in the garden...
The second is to fulfill my course requirement to subscribe to a mailing
list. (internet applications; i.e. web page, usage...)
I look forward to reading what might be for me the furthering of my
education.
