more rocks

Hello rock groupies:

Gene, I bow to your "Rock-ettes."

One of the pleasures of collecting rocks, for me, is that they
are reminders of enjoyable trips. I always pick up at least one rock (but
usually more) when I visit a new place. Last winter I spent 3 months in the
Desert Southwest; brought home plenty of unusual-looking rocks.

Rock garden and other gardening purists frown on having all kinds of rocks
in the garden, but I like it and that's what counts.
Some of the larger rocks shade miniature hostas. Since my landscape is flat,
a large rock outcropping is out of the question (in my view), but the
individual rocks provide accents. They're my form of garden art.
