Hi Folks, I am going to send you a link to a terrific article by Nancy
Szerlag from the Homestyles section of the Detroit News, dated 10/31/99. She
has a unique method for composting *bagged* leaves, and for those of you who
are "leaf thieves", this is a real winner!
For those of you who know how to get to a URL by using a copy and paste
method, this is the URL:
http://www.detroitnews.com/search/navi.htm
For those of you who do *not* know how to do a "copy and paste", here is a
simple explanation:
(1) Print this e-mail so you can read it and follow the instructions.
(2) Have this e-mail on the screen as you are in your webbrowser. Put your
cursor to the left of the first URL ["http://www.detroitnews.com/search/navi.h
tm"] and hold down the right mouse button. Drag the mouse to the right to
highlight the URL.
(3) While it is highlighted, press "Ctrl C" [copy].
(4) Place your cursor in the long white space at the top of your web browser
just under the tool bar [just to the right of "Find" in most browsers].
(5) Press "Ctrl V" [Paste].
(6) Press "Enter".
This will automatically take you to the Detroit News article.
You can add this to your favorites by clicking on the red heart, or you can
simply print it out. I find that I am more likely to retain access to such
material if I file a copy in my computer.
For those of you who find the above is too difficult, I will send a separate
posting. However, the Detroit News has a rather different way of permitting
this to be done, and I've never tried it with a List Serv Discussion group.
It should also provide you with a hyperlink to double-click on to get to the
article.
