Re: Importing plants

While I am hoping that you are right , in my opinion,it is premature to become
complacent ..
And yes, your right this was discussed some months ago ,thats when the council
announced that it was in planning mode in response to Presidential
Orders(P.Clinton) ...

Thats what sets this apart from previous considerations of restrictions, this
time its approved and demanded by Pres.Orders...
If you have read the Order and the completed Action Plan.. I would like to know
how you came away with such confidence that this will remain 'a tempest in a
teapot'?Your explaination would perhaps bring similiar assurance to the rest of
us..
I am not trying to be sarcastic, truly I respect that others see,and interpret
things differently to be sure, discussion often reveals a different perpective
and peace of mind..

At the minimum people have the right and obligation to read these, draw their own
conclusions, then register a comment to that effect with the agencies ..Part of
the problem as I see it is*complacency*if we dont speak up then we get what we
deserve.
Please keep in mind that the Organic Standards were outlined by one of these
same bureaus but the overwhelming outcry (volume and content via snail mail and
email)caused these outlines to be drastically revised.

You must read this very carefully, and in so doing you will see that not only are
they considering all imported plants, seeds, but natives too ,as well as species
that are currently in the trade..If you order so much as a seed please read:

Off my soap box, thanks for your time.
