That's a good question Margaret. I sit here wondering where all this
compost comes from as you do. I have an old farm, lots of trees and piles of
stuff composting here and there. We scrupulously add all trimming, weeding
and raking to the piles. Still, there is never the amount that would be
needed to add to all the gardened space.
We scrounge up manure and chips from the power company's trucks and usually
have something to amend the soil but never enough compost. Not even close.
